About Us
The SEN Support Hub was an idea I carried with me for around three years before taking the leap to open the business in 2021.Throughout my career working within schools and local authorities, I saw first-hand the challenges that families of children with Special Educational Needs can face. I saw how complex the SEN system can feel, how difficult it can be for parents to know where to turn, and how easily families can feel overwhelmed when trying to secure the right support and education for their child.
Those experiences led me to think about how things could be done differently.
The SEN Support Hub was founded with one simple purpose: to use my professional expertise and personal experience to support families and help remove the barriers that can prevent children with SEN from accessing the education and support they need.
I understand that behind every request for support is a child, a family and a parent who simply wants the best possible outcome for their child. My aim is to provide families with independent, knowledgeable and honest advice, helping you understand your rights, navigate the SEN system and feel more confident when communicating with schools, local authorities and other professionals.
Whether you are just beginning to have concerns about your child’s needs, considering an EHC needs assessment, navigating the EHCP process or struggling to secure the support your child is entitled to, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My Story
I am an experienced SEND Consultant with over 15 years experience working across three local authorities, supporting children and young people with SEND and their families.
I hold a First Class Honours degree in Families and Childhood Studies and a Masters in Education and Youth Work. Within professional practice I have also gained my IPSEA Level 1–3 legal training, IPSEA Tribunal training and more recently trained within Money Advice Services to allow myself to support you with Disability Living Allowance applications.
My career has given me valuable experience of the SEND system from within schools and local authorities, including complex SEN casework, EHC needs assessments and EHCPs, mediation, SEND Tribunal, parent support, training and advice. I have also worked extensively with vulnerable young people within education, including those who have experienced exclusion from mainstream education.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also a SEND parent. Becoming a parent gave me a completely different perspective on the SEN system and an understanding of how it feels to navigate it from the other side — as a parent trying to understand the process, access the right support and ensure your child’s needs are recognised.
It is this combination of professional expertise and personal experience that led me to establish The SEN Support Hub. I understand both sides of the system and how overwhelming it can feel when you are trying to secure the right support for your child. My role is to provide independent, knowledgeable and practical advice, helping parents understand their options, navigate the system and feel confident in advocating for their child.
